Privacy Policy

1. What we collect in the app

We collect the minimum needed to run an exam-prep engine:

• Local study data. Flashcard retention scores, quiz history and bookmarks are stored on your device. If you never sign in, this data never leaves it.
• Crash diagnostics. Aggregated crash and performance logs used to diagnose faults. These do not contain your name, licence number or location.
• Feedback you send us. If you use the in-app "report a problem" button, we receive the question ID, your note, and your email address if you choose to give one.
• Purchase receipts. In-app purchases are validated through Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We receive anonymised transaction tokens — never your card or bank details.

2. What this website collects

Nothing that identifies you. Specifically:

• No cookies. This site sets no cookies, first-party or third-party, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• No analytics, no trackers, no advertising pixels.
• Local storage only. Your browser stores two preferences so the site remembers them: tp_theme (your colour theme) and tp_lang (your study language). You can clear both at any time in your browser settings.
• No third-party requests. Fonts, icons and scripts are all served from this domain. We do not load Google Fonts, CDNs or social embeds, so visiting this site does not disclose your IP address to any third party.

3. How we use information

• To run the quiz engine and spaced-repetition scheduling.
• To verify and correct questions you report as inaccurate.
• To validate purchases and unlock the modules you paid for.
• To send notifications you opted into — including a reminder before a free trial converts.

4. Third-party service providers

• Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing — store transactions.
• RevenueCat — subscription receipt validation and entitlements.

We do not use advertising networks, data brokers or cross-site trackers.

5. Children's privacy

TruckerPass is built for adults pursuing a commercial driver's licence, which requires a minimum age of 18 in every US state. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

6. Your rights: access, correction and deletion

You can inspect, reset or delete your data at any time. In the app, use Clear all data in Settings — it purges local study records immediately, with no waiting period. For anything held on our side, use the data deletion page or email support@truckerpass.app. We respond within 7 business days.

7. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, to request a copy, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell and have never sold personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any of these rights, use the deletion page or email us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. UK and EEA rights (UK GDPR / GDPR)

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

• Lawful basis. We process app data to perform our contract with you (delivering the study service and validating your purchase) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and accurate. We do not process personal data for advertising.
• International transfers. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA — for example to a payment provider — we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses.
• Website. Because this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party resources, simply visiting it does not involve us processing your personal data at all beyond ordinary server logs.

9. Data retention

Local study data lives on your device until you delete it. Errata reports and support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue. Financial records required by tax law and the app stores' billing terms are retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies.

10. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Local study data sits in your device's app sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we deliberately hold as little personal data as possible so that a breach has as little to expose as possible.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the version number and date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app.
